Our Grain Free Australian Chicken recipe is formulated for strong muscles, healthy bones and vitality.
With no grains, this recipe uses tapioca and sweet potato as alternative sources of carbohydrate. Tapioca, a natural source of fibre, can support the passage of food through your dog's intestine and assist in the absorption of vital nutrients.
This high protein diet may be suitable for dogs with dietary sensitivities, or for those who wish to exclude grains from their dog's diet. Made with smaller kibble size for dogs with smaller mouths.

Frequently asked questions
Can chronic skin problems and or infections be related to a food allergy?
Chronic skin problems can sometimes be caused by food allergies. Food allergies can be caused by proteins or grains, with beef and chicken being the most common of the protein allergies.
The only way to know for sure if your pet has a food allergy is to complete a prescribed food trial as directed by your veterinarian. If you feel your pet is just a bit sensitive, then they may do well on Black Hawk Original Dog Fish & Potato (try our Black Hawk Original Fish, for cats) or one of our Black Hawk Grain Free options.
For a personalised dietary recommendation for your pet, speak with your veterinarian.
How do I know how much to feed?
Each breed is different, as is each individual animal, depending on its size, weight and activeness. There is an easy to follow guide on each bag of Black Hawk, and we have measuring cups to ensure standard recommendations. If you find you’re having issues with your animals putting on weight, or losing weight, use this as your guide to increase or decrease the amount of food.
Does Black Hawk dog food contain any additives or preservatives?
Black Hawk wet and dry food contains only natural preservatives. A natural preservative is one that occurs naturally in nature, as opposed to a chemical preservative that is made synthetically such as BHT, BHA or ethoxyquin which are often found in cheaper brands.
The natural preservatives we use in our products include rosemary extract, vitamin E (tocopherol) and vitamin C.
