With the delicious flavour of real ocean fish, this recipe offers complete, balanced nutrition for your adult cat. A carefully selected range of ingredients, including green-lipped mussel, sweet potato and egg helps your cat maintain strong bones and joints, supports their digestion and promotes healthy skin and fur.
Real ocean fish is rich in both omega-3 fatty acids and protein and supports your cat's muscle and brain function, encourages healthy skin and fur, and contributes to overall health and vitality. We also included green-lipped mussel, a natural source of chondroitin that may support joints.
This food contains Yucca Schidigera, a natural odour fighter, yucca extract helps trap ammonia to reduce unpleasant smells in your cat's stool. In addition, made with chicory root, a superfood when it comes to natural prebiotics. Its high inulin content helps feed beneficial bacteria to keep the gut balanced.
An easily digestible protein boost, egg in this recipe offers a complete source of essential amino acids, the building blocks of your cat's body. Eggs also contain choline which supports normal liver function.

How much should I feed my cat?
You should feed your cat according to the feeding guidelines on the pack or use our online feeding calculator. The feeding guide will give you a quantity based on your cat's weight, but if you feel like your cat is overweight or underweight - we recommend feeding according to the weight they were when they were healthiest.
What are the advantages of feeding dry and wet cat food?
Mixed feeding means feeding a mix of both, dry kibble and wet foods. There are many advantages for both, such as looking after your cats mental wellbeing by providing enrichment, providing all-important hydration to your cat, looking after your cats dental health and it can be useful when needing to administer medicine.

Who formulates the Black Hawk range of pet foods?
We have an in-house formulation team with a collective 59 years of applied experience who are qualified in veterinary and nutritional science, including degrees in Animal Nutrition from the School of Environmental and Rural Science at the University of New England.
We also employ 3 vets in our Research & Development team, who have worked in clinical practice and have extensive experience in the commercial pet food industry. They work with an external network of veterinarians, clinical specialists, nutritional scientists and researchers.
Being an Australian-formulated and produced product, our team knows our recipes inside-out, and we’re close to the manufacturing process
How do I transition my cat to a new food?
No matter the product, when feeding your cat a new food it is important that you transition them gradually in order to ensure that they don’t get an upset stomach.
We recommend that over a 5-7 day period, you increase the increments of the new food 25% at a time. So 25%, 50%, 75% and then eventually after 5-7 days, 100% of the new cat food.
