Sophia Dalidakis & Heather Kite

We have both had a passion for the Siberian Husky for many years, and through the breed and our love for them our strong friendship began and ultimately our partnership in showing, racing and breeding. 

Over the years Sophia has bred a number of successful Best in Specialty Show winners and Australian Champions, who were also competitive sled dogs on both dry land and snow races in Australia. 

For Heather (and Rob), after getting into showing a few years after getting our first pet Siberian Husky and starting out in sled dog racing, Soph and Heath had crossed paths at a few Siberian Husky Specialties Shows where we fell in love with Soph’s main man Shaker - Ch Snofall Shake Rattle N Roll, a multi BISS winner and successful sled dog. Needless to say an ultimate friendship was born along with some very cool puppies that have gone on to be Australian champions and Specialty winning dogs themselves, along with awesome working drives in harness. 

Since then we have become like family with a strong partnership and look for many similar working qualities and breed traits within our dogs. We are passionate about the Siberian Husky and proud that we can work them in harness and that they can hold their own in the show ring. 

When looking for a dog food suitable for working sled dogs, we need to ensure it provides suitable levels of protein, fat and essential nutrients, to ensure our dogs can perform at their best. Black Hawk Working Dog checks all those boxes and our dogs have performed extremely well on it and their overall condition and fitness level is fantastic.
