Dogs have always been an integral part of my life, the Boxer was my parents chosen breed and then when I was able to they became mine. After breeding and showing them for 30 years, winning many Best In Shows, Top Dog in Tasmania and breeding lots of Champions and making so many people happy with their pets I knew that a smaller breed was on the cards.

Although Boxers will always remain close to my heart. I have also owned and shown the Shih Tzu, Dandie Dinmont Terrier, American Staffordshsire Terrier, Skye Terrier and less fleetingly the exceedingly naughty Shiba Inu.

The Shih Tzu is now my favoured breed, I fell in love with this breed with their outgoing nature and loving temperament and beautiful looks. I call them my little dog in a big dogs body. I have bred many Champions, Grand Champions and Supreme Champions and I am exceedingly proud of each and everyone of them.

So I have gone from an easy care no work breed to now having Breeds that need a lot of maintenance and coat care. By feeding Black Hawk and knowing that there are no colours or preservatives to aggravate their skin and knowing that it is a complete and balanced food makes my life just that little bit easier and even better they all LOVE it. With other brands I always had to put mixers in to make them eat it but with Black Hawk nothing is required to make them eat. Knowing that it is made in Australia from Australian products is just the icing on the cake.

My Shih Tzu coats and bodies  have never been better, “the proof is in the pudding” and my Shih Tzu "Supreme Ch Killilan Defence Rests Yr  Honor" has been the Number 1 Shih Tzu in Australia for the last 4 years, just recently in 2023 he represented Tasmania in Canberra at one of Australias most prestigious events  by winning the TopDog Pointscore for his state. How proud was I to be amongst Australias top dogs at an event sponsored by the very Product that has helped  make him so incredibly beautiful.  

All my babies are also raised on Black Hawk and they have never looked back, all the new Puppy owners are thrilled to get their Black Hawk Puppy Pack when picking their baby up and continue to feed this wonderful food ongoing.

The ongoing support received from Black Hawk is just amazing.
